Knitwear designer Lucas Nascimento’s AW11 collection is full of vivid colour, great shapes and sheer panels. The collection explores simplicity, movement, form and wearability.

Lucas Nascimento’s knit-wearing woman feels protected by light catching details, by all encompassing cocoon knitted garments. The woman becomes a pedestal for sculptural form considered by the designer from angle to angle. She is swathed in fine-knit pieces so beautifully made one dressing hurriedly might confuse the inside from the out.

Combinations of Italian and European yarns meet in speeding intarsias. Ideas about weight versus lightness and the balance therein are realised in technical programmes. Speed and utility meet form and feature in versatility to be worn either by day or night.

Old faithful of the High St M&S have developed an outstanding range of accessories or AW11. The collection is broken down into small ranges; Nordic Narnia, a Navajo inspired range, and Boy Meets Girl which I have to say was my personal fave.

Nordic Narnia was very sparkly and girly, perfect for girly girls and Christmas party outfits.

The Navajo inspired range is full of beautiful warm colour, faux fur, and chunky knits.

My fave collection was Boy meets Girl, full of Black, hats, boots, and large bags!

Almost if not all of the shoes/boots withing the collections have extra padding in the soles to make them that little bit more comfortable for all day wear. This was music to my ears!!!

Menswear at Primark was elevated this season! Slim fitting suits, coloured chinos, pea coats, chunky knits and festive sweaters.

What are your thoughts on Primark’s menswear collection for AW11?
