I have to say I’m sad to be missing Mulberry’s NYC extravaganza! Not only are they making a big impact for Vogue Fashion’s Night Out, which they’ll be celebrating in their new store on Spring St with Mojito’s, manicures, pies, prizes, and face painting and fortune telling. They are also dropping a new set of ltd ed products just for the NYC crowd!
Mulberry has opened its first US flagship store, on New York City’s Spring Street. The 5,000 sq ft space in SoHo follows the 2010 opening of a dedicated New York showroom at Milk Studios.
To celebrate the opening of the new store and the brand’s love affair with the Big Apple, Mulberry has produced two exclusive bag designs.
The New York Clipper is a customised version of a classic Mulberry style, featuring New York-inspired detailing, colours and hardware. It is a Glossy Buffalo leather bag that comes in red, white or blue (of course!), with a luggage tag showcasing the exclusive Mulberry “peace, love and apple” motif. The Clipper will retail for $950 (£595).
For the ultimate luxury treat, weMulberry have also created an exclusive Alexa bag – made in Oak Ostrich and covered in dozens of gold apple-shaped rivets. Only 10 are available, retailing for $6250 (£4000) each.
Both the Clipper and Alexa will be available from the US stores as well as on the US mulberry.com.
