OMG moment! Who doesn’t want a Wedgwood for Mulberry cup and saucer?!
The British luxury brand had iconic English tableware and lifestyle brand Wedgwood create miniature teacups and saucers for their SS14 London Fashion Week invites.
The invitation tells the first part of the Spring Summer 2014 story. The miniature Wedgwood for Mulberry cup and saucer are held inside a box embossed with a traditional stately home, the guests’ first glimpse of the catwalk theme.
The bespoke ‘dolls house’ teacup and saucer are based on the iconic Wedgwood Jasperware in traditional Jasperware colours, which also beautifully reflect the seasonal tones in Mulberry’s Spring Summer 2014 collection. Guests will receive one of five colourways, charmingly contrasted against a backdrop in a different seasonal shade.
The Mulberry teacups and saucers were made at Wedgwood’s English factory in Barlaston, Staffordshire.
In an extension to the collaboration, Wedgwood is providing a pop-up tea service for Mulberry’s stores in Edinburgh and New Bond Street on Sunday 15 September, and again in the New Bond Street store later in the year.
The Mulberry show is this Sunday 15 September at 12pm. Watch the live stream of the show on www.mulberry.com and join the Mulberry and Wedgwood conversation with #MulberryTeacup
