Sports footwear brand Vans have teamed up with Barbour, the British heritage and lifestyle brand (you know the one famous for their waxed and quilted jackets).  The pair have joined together for the most stylish collaboration to hit stores this autumn.  The Barbour by Vans collection this week as part of Vans’ California line of premium footwear.

The limited edition collection stays true to the ethos of each company; Vans’ classic vulcanization process is incorporated with Barbour’s signature waxing technique to create tough durable footwear.  The touches of tartan, corduroy materials, leather detailing and army green colour complete the timeless outdoor styling.  Check out the subtle Barbour branding, on the underside of the Vans label.

The collection includes three popular Vans styles:

Our favourite is the Classic Era Wingtip, inspired by the classic wingtip brogue, it boasts a mixture of leather and canvas on a vulcanized sole.

The Chukka Del Barco mixes a wax cotton upper with a Vanilla Ice vulcanized sole.  Details include white contrast stitching, metal eyelets and a reverse waffle outsole for increased traction.

Completing the collection is the Classic Slip-On in army green features a wax cotton upper with understated quilting detail is a stylish, casual shoe that will appeal to both men and women.  Elasticated gussets at the sides and a reinforced back section give grip and flexibility.
