Sunglasses are a huge staple in any fashionistas wardrobe, I can’t walk past a sunglass store/stand/department without trying on at least 3 pairs. So you can imagine my excitement on hearing Nicole Richie has designed a collection of sunglasses for House of Harlow 1960.
After her successful launch of the House of Harlow 1960 jewellery & shoe lines, Nicole Richie is expanding on her design prowess and chic retro jewellery creations to branch into a full line sunglasses with a similar vintage yet classic aesthetic. The new line, created in partnership with brand owner and manufacturer Majestic Mills, is comprised of approximately 40 pieces: The collection, of course, is inspired by timeless frames & shapes.
“I’ve always loved the possibility of being able to transform yourself through the way of dress.” Nicole’s love and influence of costume dressing are also apparent in the collection, whether incorporated in a print or manifested through a material, they are very much a part of the Winter Kate/House of Harlow 1960 identity.
“Fashion gives you the ability to express yourself, your mood; it’s a creative outlet in many ways.” One of the primary reasons she started her own line.
HOH launched in 2009 with the Spring 2010 season and Nicole has been the creative force behind the brand since day one, involved in every step of the brand’s decision- making process. The Winter Kate/House of Harlow 1960 brand has now evolved into a full-fledged collection, offering ready-to-wear, jewellery, footwear, handbags and now sunglasses. Since its inception, the collection has received rave reviews and a tremendous following.
