LANVIN’S NEW BAG FOR S/S 2012

Luxury fashion brand Lanvin have a new bag for le summer! The new “Bowling Lanvin JL” bag reinvents the classic proportions of the weekend bag for daytime. Available in three comfortable sizes in smooth calf leather or python skin.

The hand assembled bag has a brass clasp closure on the front along with brass JL initials in the bottom right corner. Available in sand, black, brown, gold and petrol blue in smooth calf. A more sophisticated version is dressed in shiny chestnut or sand python skin.

The JL is also available in a streamline clutch that I would really love to see in the smooth calf!

GET GLAM WITH COKE AND BENEFIT COSMETICS

Benefit Cosmetics and Diet Coke team up to celebrate some of the most noteworthy styles for 2012. The Get Glam collection sees Diet Coke cans emblazoned with a monochrome silhouette with a lip colour inspired by Benefit hero products Benetint, Posietint and Cha Cha Tint. BECKHAM’S UNDIES REVEALED

H&M has released the first glimpse of David Beckham’s briefs! You’ll remember that we gave you first word that Beckham was releasing a bodywear collectionwith the Swedish high street retailer here, well we now get a sneak peek of the merch. The collection focuses on nine key products inspired by his style. The line will go on sale at 1,800 stores worldwide on Feb. 2.

Unlike the underwear he has previously modeled for Emporio Armani, Beckham’s collection features minimal branding. “Collectively, with my design team, we spent time working on the feel, fit and style to ensure the product is not only something I would wear but one that I would be proud to put my name on,” Beckham stated.

The collection is available in white, black and gray, with four styles of underpants, three tops, and two bottoms; all with the “David Beckham Bodywear for H&M” label using a David Beckham logo designed by Alasdhair Willis, founder of Announcement Creative and husband of designer Stella McCartney.

The advertising campaign will feature black-and-white images of Beckham shot by Alasdair McLellan.

DAPHNE GUINNESS FOR MAC

Heiress, fashion icon and visionary Daphne Guinness also has a collection with cosmetic brand MAC, featuring nail polish, mascara, MAC’s famed lipglass (which Daphne is “obsessed with”).  The fashion muse was inspired by the Old Master painters like Titian, Zurbarán, and Michelangelo, the greyish green Hyperion Nail Lacquer came straight from the famous “Whistler’s Mother” painting!

 

A far cry from MAC’s usual bright/warm tones, Daphne says it’s ALL about the cool tones. “I’m not a real primary color person, and warm colors do not become me. Anyway we can’t all be bouncing along the beach looking sunkissed. I’m never gonna be that girl. I wish, but it ain’t gonna happen!” The campaign shot by David LaChapelle is a cool blue-hued image showing off Daphne’s fierce beauty game. The 24-piece strong line includes Azalea Blossom blush ombre in light cool pink (ÂŁ22); pro longwearing lipcreme in blue-pink Red Dwarf (ÂŁ15.50); and Hyperion Light (grey blue green) nail lacquer (ÂŁ9).

VIKTOR & ROLF SPICEBOMB

A new year, a new fragrance!!! Design duo Viktor & Rolf have developed a new men’s scent Spicebomb which is to be pre-launched in iconic London department store Harrods on January 23rd.

‘It all began with the name, Spicebomb. Viktor & Rolf immediately told me that they were looking for a striking fragrance with a wealth of spices, a real source of addiction.’ Olivier Polge, perfumer behind the scent. The scent includes chilli and saffron, leather, tobacco and vetiver, as well as bergamot, grapefruit and pink pepper. Available in 90ml and 50ml at ÂŁ60 and ÂŁ45 respectively, the range also features deodorant spray (150ml for ÂŁ18), aftershave balm (100ml for ÂŁ30) and shower gel (200ml for ÂŁ25). Spicebomb rolls out nationally on March 7. The campaign shot by Inez & Vinoodh and features male model power house Sean O’Pry.
