FASHION: DESIGNER CHRISTMAS JUMPERS

DESIGNER CHRISTMAS JUMPERS

This year the Christmas Jumper has gone luxe with the help of a few British designers. Friday 13th December is Christmas Jumper Day, wear a chrimbo jumper and donate £1 or more to help save childrens lives with Save the Children.

With the support of the British Fashion Council, some of the world’s leading British designers including Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Burberry, Anya Hindmarch, David Koma, Paul Smith, Giles Deacon, House of Holland, Jonathan Saunders, Matthew Williamson, Peter Pilotto, Mary Katrantzou and Sibling have each customised a unique one off  jumper for Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day.

The 14 Christmas jumpers have been designed and hand-knitted by fashion brand Wool and the Gang and their British Gang of knitters here in the UK before being customised by each designer.  The jumpers will go on display exclusively at The Village, Westfield London in a stunning installation designed by the visual artist and curator Stuart Semple.

You can own these couture wooly creations by entering the text auction, but take note because this auction has a twist – it’s the lowest unique bid that wins the prize, not the highest!
