You’ll remember last week we mentioned Mike Skinner (of The Streets) was throwing a party with Desperados, the aptly named Next Level party. Well we headed over to Peckham on Friday night to see what it was all about, and we were more than pleasantly surprised!
Mike Skinner’s Next Level party was held in the Bussey Building on Rye Lane in Peckham, the labyrinth of a three storey building with stacks of potential. He took various elements from iconic parties worldwide which he mentioned here, and made one hell of a night to remember!
The music and the crowd, as well as the Desperados menu, would have made for a great party in itself – the added element of breaking and tearing down walls to take the party to the next level was a concept we were crazy about!
As well as a set from Mike Skinner, the Desperados Next Level party featured an incredibly diverse host of artists including Stanton Warriors, Preditah, Oxide & Neutrino and Mumdance.
Mike Skinner said, ‘It’s great to be a part of something like this. I love what Desperados is doing, manipulating time and space to create something unique and original; let’s take it to the next level.’
David Lette, Brand Director, Desperados said, ‘We believe that a better party is a different party. Challenging the ordinary is of paramount importance when we bring new party experiences to people. Location and environment is key, which is why the ‘Next Level’ party at the iconic Bussey Building will be totally different to anything guests will have experienced before.’
We’re hoping this is the first of many nights like this, not only so we can do it all over again, but so those who didn’t get a chance to, can experience it for themselves. Watch snippets of the night below…
What do you think of this concept for a party?
