Spotted this prison vibe jumpsuit that instantly reminded me of Orange Is the New Black! Is orange the new black? Nah, but is a huge colour trend for AW14. Kickstart orange fever with this jumpsuit from River Island, it’ll carry you from this season straight through to the next!

The latest New Balance Made in the UK shoe pack is the New Balance 577 Seaside Pack. Inspired by all that comes with a typically British day at the seaside; the sea, sun and sand with bright pops of colour which represent all the fun that the seaside brings.

The helter-skelter design on the tongue label and striped insoles mimicking the stripes of a classic seaside deckchair collide to make these shoes a must have for sneaker collectors and allow these classic 577 models to tell the story of a quintessentially British seaside experience.

When introduced in 1989, the 577 was arguably the most supportive trainer for serious runners. Today this heritage style is more likely to be seen on a catwalk than a running track having been firmly cemented as a highly sought after fashion favourite.

This strictly limited duo is available now from End Clothing, Size? and Hannon.

JOHN LEWIS TURNS 150!

This month marks the 150th anniversary of one of Britain’s great high street institutions. On 2nd May, John Lewis celebrated 150 years since it first opened in 1864 at 132 Oxford Street, London.

From its humble beginning as a small drapers in Victorian London, John Lewis is today the oldest department store on Oxford Street to sit on its original site.

On the third floor the retailer has opened an immersive interactive exhibition taking shoppers through the history of John Lewis. From the moment you step off the escalator onto the cobbled streets of Victorian London, through to the impact of the war and how we shop today. The exhibition closes with a peak in to the future of retail and what products in 2164 might look like.

To mark the 150th anniversary, John Lewis has created a range of products, these included special edition prints from their archive, re-imagined for today, and collaborations with leading brands and iconic designers.

Customers will see exciting new ranges from Alice Temperley, Antoni & Alison, Lee Broom, Orla Kiely (top) and Lucienne Day (2nd image) to name a few. The John Lewis design studio pays homage to its own design history by taking key heritage prints from the archives and remaining these on new, modern day products.
