Maison Martin Margiela opted for a palette of neutral tones and blacks with hints of red leather. The show started of with classic formal looks, but went on to show leather waistcoats, red and white motorcycle trousers, glossy bomber jackets and puffer jackets which gave an edgy and modern twist to the timeless design.
Alber Elbaz just made my life! French fashion house Lanvin has launched its first eyewear optical collection under the artistic direction of Alber Elbaz and in partnership with De Rigo Group, and I can’t wait to get me hands on it. Having recently débuted it’s 2012 Sunglasses Collection, the optical collection fits perfectly in line with the Lanvin style, the new exclusive glasses for men and women successfully interpret the Lanvin tradition with a mixture of both retro and contemporary details. Horn is the star of the collection, the colour palette is rich in natural beige and brown nuances, though also ocean blue hues, which embellish even the classic and timeless black and havana with innovative color combinations. The glasses will be available at Lanvin e-store and all Lanvin boutiques this Spring 2012. Until then watch the video below showing how they’re made – BY HAND!
Beloved fashion brand Lanvin have decided to launch their first ever eyewear collection exclusively at Harvey Nichols. The line of sunglasses incorporates couture details and industrial aesthetics with a mix of both retro and contemporary features. Horn plays a huge part in the collection, as well as printed leather, crystals and stones. White metal frames feature bronze and gunmetal antique tones. I want at least 3 pairs from this collection but I’m not a millionaire yet! I’ll settle for the round horn frames. Available from Feb 1st from Harvey Nichols prices starting at £235.
The new Supremebeing collection will drop in stores this February. The SS12 collection consists of the brands most directional, fresh and design led product to date. A reflection of the brand’s underlying sensibilities blended with this season’s themes of Faded Future and The Wash. The use of Bespoke fabrics and a vibrant ‘washed out’ colour palette, gives each garment a soft vintage feel. A wholesome collection of distinct product to create an authentic English summer line, stamped with the recognisable Supremebeing style.
High St retail monster Primark has some really great pieces for this coming season, I’m in love with how many button up shirts they have – I want them all!!! This collection is perfect for the city girl on the go, the sleeveless dress with the pleated back and dipped hem is a definite staple piece for anyone’s wardrobe. I just hope that they have some of these pieces on the shop floor when I’m ready to shop!
