POLICE NEW AMBASSADOR CAMPAIGN

Last night we hopped over to new club DSTRKT on Rupert St to join leading Italian lifestyle brand Police in celebrating the launch of their new ambassador campaign. The new 2012 eyewear, watches and jewellery campaign features Welsh actor Luke Evans, their new Brand Ambassador. The new campaign, focuses on their iconic blue eyewear lenses.

Celebrity attendees included: Luke Evans, Aidan Turner, Oliver Jackson Cohen, Jay Camilleri, Rita Ora, Noelle Reno, Georgie Okel, BB, Milo Cordell (The Big Pink), Robbie Furze (The Big Pink), Mary Charteris (DJ) and Leah Weller. Electro-rock band The Big Pink wowed guests with an enchanting semi-acoustic live performance after listening to back to back DJ sets by Mia Moretti, Mary Charteris and Leah Weller. We drank Ciroc cocktails and viewed the new campaign images styled by Tom Stubbs and photographed by Jason Hetherington in the industrial East London studio, MC Motors, that reflects the metropolitan feel of the brand.

NEW AD CAMPAIGN: NAOMI CAMPBELL FOR PINKO SS12 + BTS VIDEO

Italian fashion label Pinko has chosen Freak Deluxe (and I’m guessing Pinko’s too) favourite Supermodel Naomi Campbell as the spokesmodel for the new SS12 advertising campaign. The black and white campaign shot by Daniele  Iango has rich metallic nuances, gold and silver, lusciously soft shadings and intense chiaroscuro effects, the campaign evokes timeless elegance.

MENSWEAR AW12: KENZO

Kenzo showed their latest menswear collection in an old railway station. The AW12 silhouette makes us think of the 1950s man from middle America mixed with the modern day guy, the cut and shape of the wool suits mixed with the colourful parkers, bomber jackets and accessories was a winner for us! The colour, print, and metallic petrol shoes are just the cherry on the cake.

MENSWEAR AW12: HERMÈS

The highly desired fashion house Hermès showed their Autumn/Winter 2012/3 Menswear collection in Paris this week. The dark collection featured reptile skins, chunky knits, leather, and smoke patterns. with hints of burgundy and stone colours. One of the models looked a lot like Joe Manganiello from Trueblood.

MENSWEAR AW12: WALTER VAN BEIRENDONCK

Walter Van Beirendonck’s menswear collection for AW12, Lust never sleeps, was based around a literal face-off between masks: the kind that warriors in Papua, New Guinea, or voodoo high priests in the Caribbean paint on, and the leather kind that Western fetishists wear in big-city sex clubs. Using strictly black African models dressed bright tailored suits, fluffy mohairs, Clockwork Orange style bowler hats and full body leather waders.
