NEW ADDITIONS TO BEETLEJUICE COLLECTION!

After the phenomenal sell-out success of the Models Own BEETLEJUICE range, growing demands for a Spring Summer update have been answered with three brand-new beautiful shades!! The new Beetlejuice polishes are inspired by the colours of a hot summer haze, mimicking a mirage of complex colour-shifting shades to produce these shimmering duo chrome colours.

Each bottle contains four pearlescent colours mixed into one gleaming polish for an optimum high finish. Launching online and in Boots from this month and also in a unique box set available only at Models Own’s new Westfield Bottleshop opening in April, the collection consists of three brand new shades – Copper Pot, a deep olive tan; Tropical Sun, a glistening sunset and Indian Ocean, a calming iridescent blue with soft pink undertones.  Designed to compliment any outfit, Models Own’s latest collection is the perfect accessory for the spring/summer wardrobe, offering unique colour combinations that are all ultra wearable. Available from 19th March at £5 each from Boots and www.modelsownit.com

Freak Deluxe Meets WAH Nails

If you read my post here, you will know all about the collaboration between WAH Nails and Models Own. A bunch of us went down to the launch at the WAH Nails flagship store in Dalston and got our nails did in various patterns and colours…

Lili Vanilli cakes

The choice was ridiculous! I opted for something a little closer to my own heart…FREAK DELUXE NAILS. If you were with me from the start you’ll remember that the last time I had a WAH-do I did a step by step of the WAH leopard print. Here’s how the FREAK DELUXE was done…

Draw the outline with the WAH Nails/Models Own nail art pen…

Fill in with your colours of choice, they had the perfect FREAK DELUXE pink and yellow…

I asked for just a lil hint of the signature WAH leopard on each nail, so she put matte topcoat on one of the black squares and did black on black leopard with the WAH Nails/Models Own nail art pen…

Now to fill in the space with white, for this Sunam used the white WAH Nails/Models Own pen…

The swirls and a lil FD were added to each of the “ring” fingers, then top coat…

Et Voila! (Please sidestep the fact that I hadn’t lotioned my hands yet, the nails were still a lil wet!)

My nails also look super amazing when I’m drinking from my FREAK DELUXE cup!

Here’s what the other gals (+ 1 guy) got done that night…

Aztec nails, first pattern I saw for the night.

Gem Fatale got the black on black leopard print with her BF’s initials in the red heart, how sweet.

I love pop art, Pamper & Polished got the POW nails!!!

I absolutely loved the patterns that Grunge Betty got! Leopard print, pop art, bows and hundreds and thousands.

Sharmandean’s (Miss WAH Nails herself) nails

Char was the last customer of the night so she got a free for all!

I would like to thanks those at WAH Nails and Models Own for a fantastically fun evening.

WAH Nails x Models Own

WAH Nails and Models Own have pinky-sweared, become life partners and created a fab new collection that will be available to everyone from mid November.

I have been a fan of nails for as long as I can remember. My aunts (twins) always had perfectly long nails and would paint them every chance they got. I remember a hot coraly orange was their colour of choice for a while. They were in their early 20s and I was about 4yrs old.

Fast forward through only being allowed nail polish during weekends or holidays (unless it was clear) meanwhile experimenting with dots and stripes and multicolours, to me at 13yrs old and my first trip to New York!

I taught myself all about acrylics, water decals, diamantés, and stencils then bagged myself a “Saturday job” in a beauty salon doing nails at 15yrs old. I was in my element, super striping, tipping, webbing, marbling, and at Christmas snowmen and Christmas trees came out to play. By the time I reached 21, I gave it all up. Got rid of my kit, I kept all of my paints and brushes/tools but somehow they’ve managed to disappear.

(Takes deep breath) All of that so you understand just how excited I am that WAH Nails and Models Own have developed a collection of nail art pens (for the leopard in you) that also double up as super stripers (for the tiger in you).

WAH Nails already sell the of the moment Models Own polishes in their flagship and pop-up stores, founder of WAH, Sharmadean Reid is always asked by her customers where they can buy the nail pens they use, hence the collaboration.

We want to be the last word in fashion forward nails and this allows our loyal customers to take the brand home with them – WAH Nails designs in Models Own colours” Sharmadean Reid

Known for their signature leopard print and innovative nail design, WAH has acheived cult status for the ability to create pretty much any design or pattern for their customers. They certainly proved that to me last night when I asked them to do “Freak Deluxe nails“!

The black and white pens are £6 and will be available from 15th November at modelsownit.com. The collection will continue to grow to include all 99 nail polish colours currently available from the Models Own collection!

I have 3 of these innovative nail art pens to giveaway to my fabulously creative readers, all you have to do is:
