The initial release of the New Balance 574 Varsity pack was pretty major, those cobalt blue and bright orange sneaks, had us wanting to take it old skool and wear one on each foot! They’ve now dropped the red into the mix…sigh! A pop of red is a must both on the lips and on the feet. The 574 Varsity pack features a colour coded suede and mesh upper with monochrome accents and a grey and white midsole; they also come with options for the laces, red or white!

Know that these are being sported regularly to many an event/press day and have received a caboodle of compliments; time to start pounding the streets of London again after the brief break from the madness that is Fashion month.

This month, New Balance officially released their latest Elite Edition collection, the New Balance Barbershop Pack at Woodhouse Clothing. NB fans will know that the shoe packs are themed and this collection pays homage to the traditional barber shop. Three classic styles are available in the Barbershop Pack, the 1600, 580 and 999 available in blue, red and grey respectively heralding the universally recognised iconic barber shop poles.

Woodhouse Clothing, a premium menswear store in Notting Hill, which is also home to Carter & Bond barber shop was the perfect brick backdrop for the official release. The crowd had an array of bloggers, stylists, New Balance and Woodhouse customers along with a few well-known faces, including celebrity photographer, Richard Young and London rapper, Shadez The Misfit.

Guests were treated to, free shaves, gin cocktails, mini ‘man’ food and a DJ playing old-school hip-hop. They were also the first to get their hands on a pair of the eagerly anticipated Barbershop Pack shoes on the night.
