UGG Australia’s latest campaign celebrates life’s biggest small moments, featuring model Langley Fox Hemingway, Jack Guinness and global blogger/model Hanneli Mustaparta.

The #THISISUGG global brand campaign is a new take on brand story-telling from the lifestyle brand, seeking to bring it’s philosophy ‘Feels like nothing else’ to life by capturing and celebrating our smallest but often most triumphant moments.

“In launching this campaign, we challenged ourselves to communicate the unique physical and emotional experience that occurs when you own UGG products,” said Connie Rishwain, President of UGG Australia. “We are showcasing the personal moments where UGG exists in our consumers’ lives.”

‘THIS IS UGG’ is a multi-media, cross-channel campaign, presented primarily in black-and-white, featuring real moments with real people captured in personal settings that celebrate the small moments that mean the most to them.

The campaign which was literally all over the place including Piccadilly Circus, and features super models and British global fashion icons Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne, marks a big moment and a bit of a turning point for the business as they promote their blockbuster fragrance!

“My Burberry is the true embodiment of our brand, in scent, in design and in attitude.  A fragrance that takes its lead from the iconic Burberry trench has to be outstanding in every way.”  Christopher Bailey, Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer, Burberry

My Burberry is the most significant new fragrance from Burberry to date.  Inspired by a London garden after the rain, My Burberry takes its name from the affectionate way in which people refer to their Burberry trench coat.  A timeless classic – the scent is the ultimate expression of the brand’s past and future.  Created by Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer, Christopher Bailey working in collaboration with renowned perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, My Burberry is a grand floral fragrance with an unexpected edge; the scent is confident and beautifully elegant, yet understated in a typically British way.

Top notes of sweet pea and bergamot fuse with a heart of geranium, golden quince and freesia, rounded out with base notes of rain-tipped damask and centifolia roses and patchouli.

My Burberry Behind the Scenes (ON EMBARGO UNTIL 2 SEPTEMBER 2014_004

In addition to the fragrance, a capsule collection of My Burberry ready-to-wear pieces and accessories, as well as a dedicated make-up look created around the iconic trench coat, will be released to coincide with the launch, continuing to demonstrate the brand’s unique ability to bring together the worlds of fashion and beauty.

The campaign was shot by legendary photographer Mario Testino, under the creative direction of Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer, Christopher Bailey. Wearing the Sandringham trench coat, Kate and Cara embody a sense of individuality, optimism and legacy as encapsulated in My Burberry.

The campaign featured on global platforms including outdoor and print advertising, Burberry.com, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, Pinterest, Polyvore, Sumally, Sina Weibo, Douban, Youku and WeChat.

The launch challenges the beauty industry in terms of digital innovation, by putting the consumer at the centre of bespoke experiences.  The idea being that customers can make the bottle and the campaign their own – (Consumers can activate the campaign and get their name up in lights at Piccadilly Circus, everyone can have their own moment).

PATTERNS PERFECT FOR FALL

Patterns Perfect for Fall

The seasons are changing, but there is more that needs to change during this time than the leaves on the trees around us.  We need to adapt our wardrobe again to the changing seasons and create a new look for fall that we can get excited about.  This year, fall styles are breaking all the traditional rules.  No longer do you need to simply wrap yourself in sweaters and wear dull and lifeless colours, you can bring life back into your fall style this year with new trends.

One great way to spice up your wardrobe is to use new and fun patterns.  Patterns add dimension and style to any look and will make your outfit stand out from the rest.  As mentioned before, you no longer need to follow the traditional rules of style when choosing new patterns perfect for fall.  You can break the mold and try out something fun to brighten cool fall days.  Here are some patterns that are perfect for fall 2014.

Classic plaids

Ok, so some of the classic patterns that usually appear in fall have returned.  Plaid is a classic look that you can embrace with class and elegance every time the weather starts to cool.  You can keep it simple by wearing it in structured looks like a peacoat, or you can switch things up by rocking the pattern on a more feminine piece, like a short skirt.

Futuristic inspirations

A pattern that is crossing over from summer styles is futuristic-inspired patterns.  These looks with kaleidoscope colours and out of this world patterns are sure to draw the eye.  If you want to start out small, try out this look at the gym with some futuristic patterned workout leggings.  To take it to the next step, go for a bold pattern in a work wear piece, like a silky blouse under a fitted neutral jacket.

Pops of neon color

A second look from spring and summer that refuses to retire for the fall is bright neon accents.  In summer, people weren’t afraid to brave entire bright outfits, but this season, it is taking on a more subdued style.  Try out some neon bright colour in custom bras and underwear, or be bolder with neon trimmed outerwear.

Animal prints

Animal prints are a great way to add fun and sex appeal to your look any time of the year.  Neon versions of animal print have made way to a new kind of pattern for fall.  Instead of a bright colour, try an animal print in a traditional fall colour, like deep red or navy blue, to create a unique and trendy look that will set you apart from the rest.

Heathered and worn-in looks

Lived-in styles are perfect for the busy fall season.  You can feel comfortable and relaxed in your gently worn clothes that are far from high maintenance.  Keep your look casual with heathered sweaters and ripped jeans.  You will be able to ease into the cooler months comfortably and still stay on trend.
