British menswear brand Lyle & Scott and Scottish menswear designer Jonathan Saunders have collaborated on a menswear collection for AW14.

The 30 piece collection features Royal Warranted, made in Scotland knitwear as well as merino wool mid layers made in Italy. The classic Lyle & Scott polo shirt, woven shirt, golf Harrington and two styles of footwear complete the collection.

Each garment is branded on the chest by one of four different coloured eagles that reference the collections main palette.

The price point of this collection is considerably higher than that of the Lyle & Scott mainline range with T-shirts starting at £70 ranging to £275 for the golf Harrington jacket.

NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD OPENS POP UP BOUTIQUE

One of Britain’s most talented footwear designers, Nicholas Kirkwood, has opened a pop-up boutique in Bicester Village.

As a leading light of British fashion, Nicholas Kirkwood has earned critical acclaim for his directional designs, which strike the perfect balance between tradition and modernity.  Kirkwood footwear is created using unexpected fabrics and detailing, and always with the highest level of craftsmanship.  Once graduated from the prestigious design schools Central Saint Martins and Cordwainers College, Kirkwood’s star quickly ascended, and he was awarded a plethora of honours including the British Fashion Award for Best Accessory Designer three times.  Kirkwood launched his eponymous label in 2005, and has been challenging the conventions of luxury footwear ever since.

The Nicholas Kirkwood pop-up boutique will be open at Bicester Village until mid- October.

Our model crush Binx Walton graces the cover of i-D magazine; the Pre-Fall 2014 issue aka The Girls and Boys Issue, explores what it means to grow up as boys and girls in the world of today.

The Girls and Boys Issue is jam-packed with fresh features from today’s brightest young talents, between two covers starring A$AP Rocky representing the boys, and Leona ‘Binx’ Walton leading the pack for the girls.

Cover girl Binx Walton is one of Tennessee’s hottest exports and one of fashion’s most sought-after models, with a CV full of campaigns for Chanel, Balmain, Coach and Céline.

On the boys’ cover, A$AP Rocky has a #1 album under his belt and two more on the way, and is fast cementing his position as one of the musical voices of his generation.

Amongst interviews with two young starlets and a designer on the cusp of great things – Emma Roberts, Emily Browning, and Jacquemus – come pieces discussing sexuality in a modern world from the likes of journalist and transgender activist Paris Lees.

RIHANNA’S ICONIC MOMENT WITH NAOMI AND IMAN!

Yes ma’am!!! Rihanna scores a major iconic moment posing with supermodel royalty Iman and Naomi Campbell!  The spread features in the September issue of W Magazine, in which the trio model Balmain’s AW14 collection; Balmain’s head designer Olivier Rousteing also appears in the shoot.

Miss Riri is also the cover star of the mag, where they name her “The World’s Wildest Style Icon”; the starlet come model adorns the cover and a multi-page spread in a dark Apocolypto-esque shoot wearing dramatic make-up, fur, and a septum piercing.

DENIM AND SUPPLY RALPH LAUREN LAUNCH PROJECT WAREHOUSE

Denim & Supply Ralph Lauren have launched Project Warehouse, a creative initiative and global campaign that celebrates the newest faces in art and fashion and invites consumer collaboration in the spirit of artist warehouse communities.  Artist collaborators for Project Warehouse include longtime brand partner and two-time, Grammy-nominated and AMA award-winning, DJ/ producer AVICII, Los Angeles-based illusionary portrait artist Alexa Meade and British illustrator/sculptor Arran Gregory.

Kicking off this month with AVICII’s invitation to followers from all over the world to become a part of the upcoming teaser video for his much-anticipated sophomore album, the collective of young visionaries will create new, larger-than-life creative projects using Denim & Supply’s vintage-inspired aesthetic as inspiration.  These projects and installations will be shared globally across print, digital and social platforms,encouraging fans to participate in the art through the use of #ProjectWarehouse.

The project warehouse content will be curated into a streamlined digital hub, integrating brand videos, artist videos, user submissions, behind-the-scenes videos and the products that inspired these artistic endeavors, ultimately bringing the experience to life in a multi-dimensional way.
