FROM 10 STEPS TO 10K: PROGRESS REPORT

I have been asked by a few people to do an update on my running, so I just did a quick video of my progress during my training for the 10k, the run is in 2 weeks!

I now know that I need certain supplements in order to get the most out of my training, as well as a Positive Mental Attitude.

Also, I forgot to mention in my video, that training for the Nike 10k Run has corrected my alignment!!! I’ll go into more detail of that in my next video. So tired!!

OH HOW I MISSED THEE, AVOCADO

Over the weekend I blended up a couple of treatments for my hair, one as a pre-poo (which, I would like to clear up for those that don’t know, does not mean that at any point in my hair routine do I add shit to my tresses! This was actually asked on Twitter, so I just wanted to make sure everyone knows that pre-poo means “before shampoo” or in my case “before co-wash” – wait, I feel like I need a glossary for this post alone!), and one was a deep conditioner.

I’ve been asked to take part in a 10K run with Nike this summer, which is great, only I don’t run, and have never ran. I’ve accepted the challenge and have 3 months in which to go from 10 steps to 10K!

See my Nike Running haul, and my freak out at the idea of training for a 10K run, it might not be a marathon, but right now it sure feels like it!

MY DIY DEVA CUT

DEVA CUT COVER

I’ve decided to become a Curly Girl! As soon as I swapped my braid outs for my first “wash n go” the shape of my hair instantly looked all wrong!!!  On top of that, I could see a whole load of heat damaged straggly ends – or as we like to call them “rat tails”.  Time for my first DIY Deva Cut I think!
