Smile & Joke was established in 2011 by three Paris-born brothers with one goal in mind: off-the-wall urbane T-shirts for men and women. They used retro Americana as much as up-to-the-minute cultural milestones to inspire this first line,and teamed up with young photographers to produce it. Smile & Joke only use 100% organic cotton from India (which cuts carbon-dioxide emissions by 90%), design them in Paris and print them in France.

VERSACE AUTUMN/WINTER 2012 CAMPAIGN


The Versace Autumn Winter 2012 ad campaign is loose and the darkness of it all has me spiraling! Shot by impeccable duo Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, with art direction from Giovanni Bianco, and styling from Joe McKenna and David Bradshaw. The campaign features models Elza Luijendijk, Philipp Schmidt, Dmitriy Tanner & Kaccey Carrig on location in London in what looks like a dark and dingy warehouse! Why is it that I want everything the guys are wearing?! I won’t say no to that low back dress either!!!

GWENETH PALTROW FOR BOSS NUIT POUR FEMME

You’ll remember I mentioned this fragrance in a previous post here as it wasn’t so long ago, I had a nice whiff of this fragrance at a press day last month where we couldn’t even see the bottle yet. Well cut to a few weeks later and Hugo Boss have released their ad campaign featuring Gweneth Paltrow as the face of BOSS Nuit Pour Femme. The alluring and feminine scent is inspired by the most iconic symbol of feminine style – the little black dress (LBD) and the confident reassurance it gives to women.

This is the first female fragrance I’ve liked from Boss, which is a shame because the Boss Orange bottle was trés cute, this one is too; can’t go wrong with a bit of sleek black and a hint of gold! I’m really looking forward to it’s release!

OSCAR DE LA RENTA AW12 CAMPAIGN

Oscar De La Renta has dropped his latest campaign for the Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. The campaign features Candice Swanepoel and Katryn Kruger and was shot by Craig McDean. Stylist Alex White created the chic, high fashion look; staying true to the heritage of the brand.
