POP UP: REKORDERLIG WINTER FOREST BAR!

Swedish cider Rekorderlig (pronounced rek-or-deer-lig) have opened a pop up bar in the heart of East London! A small gang of us went to the launch last week and enjoyed an abundance of cider cocktails and Swedish delights. We were also treated to a performance from “Sweden’s newest songstress” Faye, who really has an amazing set of pipes and threw down some unique moves for us in the Swedish forest! Watch the launch video below and as a little bonus there’s also a video from FAYE! Be sure to check out the Rekorderlig Winter Forest Bar at the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, open until the 6th November. For more info go to the Rekorderlig facebook page.

HARVEY NICHOLS CHRISTMAS IN JULY!

Last week we visited Harvey Nichols winter wonderland on the Fifth Floor to check out their Christmas in July press day. As we entered a room full of luxury food and drink we were greeted with a glass of Perrier Jouét, I noticed a bottle of elderflower cordial next to the champagne bucket so asked for a drop in my champagne – delicious! Anyone who loves elderflower should try it; in fact even if you don’t love it give it a try if you get a chance.

Our first stop was Timmy’s Pies, West London pie company that started out on a Chelsea market stall; only free range British meat goes into their pies – tasty! Their fan fave is roasted pork and rhubarb, newbies for this Christmas will be the Boxing Day pie, and Turkey, stuffing, and cranberry pie. I would definitely recommend giving these guys a try!

Bubbleology who are already a firm fave in Harvey Nicks have developed a few lovely Poptails; just like the original bubble tea but with different flavoured bubbles inside!
