JLO ROCKED VERSACE AT HER FIRST EVER HOMETOWN SHOW

Jennifer Lopez Returns to the Bronx for Her First Ever Hometown Concert to Launch State Farm Neighborhood Sessions

Jennifer Lopez, affectionately known as “Jenny from the Block” or JLo rocked Versace as she performed her first ever show in her hometown last night. The singer/actress performed at the State Farm Neighborhood Session: JLO LIVE at Orchard Beach held at Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx, New York.

The international musical sensation was showstopping throughout her performance in a total of five Versus and Versace looks, opening the show in an outfit reminiscent of her most iconic Versace moment of all time: she wore a custom-made Versus Versace green palm printed bodysuit with full sleeves and a matching tearaway skirt.

She then changed into a second Versus Versace look; a white halter top with matching high waisted shorts, accented with an oversized gold safety pin belt.

During the ballad section of the show, she changed into a look from Atelier Versace Spring/Summer 2014; a deep purple draped gown with a hood, with a nude bodice underneath accented with Swarovski crystal detailing.

Her final look of the show was a custom-made Atelier Versace piece; a long-sleeved hooded bodysuit with batwing sleeves, embroidered with red Swarovski crystals.

For the encore, the singer showcased her final Versace look of the night; Jenny from the block was absolute perfection in a custom-made Versus Versace multicolour printed bodysuit with safety pin details, and matching custom-made Versus Versace printed bomber jacket with gold chain details.

The Versace autumn winter 2014 campaign represents the power, seduction, freedom and glamour at the heart of the brand. The campaign was shot by Mert & Marcus, under the creative direction of Donatella Versace.

The women’s images are provocative and dramatic, presenting supermodels Anna Ewers and Stella Tennant in a world of femininity and strength. Each represents the contrasting sides of a woman’s character, as seen in the collection itself: Anna stood behind glass, sensual in the fluidity of bias cut, while Stella is outside, proud in the control of military precision.

The men’s campaign is about the individuality and self-expression of the Versace man. The images are shot on an entirely plain set, as the Versace man needs nowhere to hide. Models Filip Hrivnak and Daniel van der Deen wear pieces from the autumn/winter 2014 collection inspired by the biker and the Wild West. The result is a man who is defiant and proud to reveal his true character.

“In the new campaigns, I wanted to express the power and freedom of Versace today. The women’s images are about strength and sensuality, with women in total control. The men’s campaign stands for a man’s right to be whoever he wants to be.” DV
