STYLE CRUSH: SOLANGE KNOWLES

This week’s Style Crush is non other than Solange Knowles! The princess of prints and champion of the natural hair styles.

The moment Solange stopped trying to fit in, stopped tyring to look like everybody else, and decided to be herself, get in her own lane – there was a shift.  She became her own person, and everybody started to look at her differently – not just as Beyoncé’s younger sister, but as Solange, the style icon.

MODEL CRUSH: MARIA BORGES

This week’s Model Crush is Maria Borges; the Angolan born 5’11” model who names Riccardo Tisci, James Scully, and Katie Grand as her honorary Godparents.  Maria was discovered when she placed second in the Elite Model Look Angola 2010 and was promptly signed to Supreme Management in New York.  A moth later she was right in the thick of Fashion Week, booking 17 shows in her first season!

The model, famously know for her legs, has walked for Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, Dior, and exclusively for Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy for 2 seasons!

Borges has posed semi nude for none other that Carine Roitfeld in CR Fashion Book (styled by Shiona Turini), featured on the cover of Vogue magazine, and has claimed her wings as a Victoria’s Secret angel.

The model is in no doubt about to claim that “super” status, but for now she is taking her career step by step.
