LANVIN’S NEW BAG FOR S/S 2012

Luxury fashion brand Lanvin have a new bag for le summer! The new “Bowling Lanvin JL” bag reinvents the classic proportions of the weekend bag for daytime. Available in three comfortable sizes in smooth calf leather or python skin.

The hand assembled bag has a brass clasp closure on the front along with brass JL initials in the bottom right corner. Available in sand, black, brown, gold and petrol blue in smooth calf. A more sophisticated version is dressed in shiny chestnut or sand python skin.

The JL is also available in a streamline clutch that I would really love to see in the smooth calf!

BECKHAM’S UNDIES REVEALED

H&M has released the first glimpse of David Beckham’s briefs! You’ll remember that we gave you first word that Beckham was releasing a bodywear collectionwith the Swedish high street retailer here, well we now get a sneak peek of the merch. The collection focuses on nine key products inspired by his style. The line will go on sale at 1,800 stores worldwide on Feb. 2.

Unlike the underwear he has previously modeled for Emporio Armani, Beckham’s collection features minimal branding. “Collectively, with my design team, we spent time working on the feel, fit and style to ensure the product is not only something I would wear but one that I would be proud to put my name on,” Beckham stated.

The collection is available in white, black and gray, with four styles of underpants, three tops, and two bottoms; all with the “David Beckham Bodywear for H&M” label using a David Beckham logo designed by Alasdhair Willis, founder of Announcement Creative and husband of designer Stella McCartney.

The advertising campaign will feature black-and-white images of Beckham shot by Alasdair McLellan.

PHILLIP LIM GIVES US THE 31 HOUR BAG!

For SS12 fashion brand 3.1 Phillip Lim intends to give us non-stop on-the-goers and extra 7 hrs a day with the launch of a new bag line.

This spring, 3.1 Phillip Lim will add to their accessories collection by introducing the 31 Hour bag line, comprised of four styles, targeted to the wearer “who needs more than 24 hours in a day.” The collection will include a cosmetic clutch, a portfolio, a classic tote and a weekender in a color palette of neutral white, cognac, black and navy, with a contrast of fizzy lemon, green and metallic accents, prices will range from approx £200 to £600 (bicolored variations are slightly higher).


I was excited to see the accessories on the runway, I’ll be even more excited to have one in my life day in day out. Hopefully it will give me an extra 7 hrs a day, a girl can dream!

The collection will be available at the end of January at the brand’s freestanding boutiques worldwide, as well as Barneys New York, Net-a-porter and Lane Crawford.

GIVENCHY SS12 AD CAMPAIGN

I am loving Givenchy’s new ad campaign for the SS12 collection! Being spring/summer Riccardo Tisci took it to the beach but kept it cool adding a slightly Gothic edge. The ad featuring Gisele BĂĽndchen, muse Mariacarla Boscono, Chris Moore and Simone Nobili, was given an eerie feel with darkening skies and “all black everything”.

The campaign shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, has the models posing in front of a black pick up truck with black surf boards and a black dog, dressed head to toe in black. The designer described the atmosphere as “the expression of a love story between a surfer and a mermaid.” The campaign will break in February issues of Vogue, W and other magazines.
