DKNY Resort 2010

Sequins, leather, and fur are just three of the trends seen in the new DKNY Holiday/Resort 2010 collection.

Rabbit fur collars on jackets and coats, sequins and beading on skirts and shoulders, and frilled collars on buttery leather jackets.

The collection is mainly black, white, and grey; on my wander around the store I spotted some great colour moments that would fit in great. I especially love that this coat is like a traditional “camel” coat, but it’s cobalt blue!

The DKNY Holiday/Resort 2010 collection has something for everyone, it’s full of texture with peplum skirts, pleated silk dresses, and feather & sequin skirts. Knitwear, shearling coats and leather trenches will keep you going for seasons. Whether you’re the life and “soul of the party” or a “homebody” you’re sure to find something in DKNY.

Ashish SS11

The ever colourful and sparkly Ashish didn’t fail us this season. He took the Cali girl, put her in the ranch and threw sequins at her with a twist of Navajo Indian. Animal prints (cow and leopard), gingham and fringing a plenty topped of with trucker hats and feathers.

Westfield Car Boot-ique

I took a couple of hours break from LFW to head over to Westfield London Shopping Centre for the chic car boot sale. Lily Allen and sister/business partner of new vintage emporium Lucy in Disguise, opened the sale.

There were chic buys a plenty from Swarovski jewellery to Chanel handbags!

At the Whistles car you got to pick out a whistle from the bundle in the boot, if it didn’t make a sound you won a prize, if it did you got to keep the whistle. Mine of course worked, bummer.

Mary Portas’ Living and Giving Car had Pucci scarves, Chanel handbags, V&A china, amongst many other fabulous things.

It was my birthweek, I asked if I could have a gift from the Topshop stand, obviously they said NO, rude!

The car boot-ique was a great idea, I really wanted one of the little deadly black gnomes from Firetrap, and of course one of the Chanel 2.55s. Thinking about it I probably could’ve got a cake, but I didn’t think to ask.

Freak Deluxe’s Fashion Night Out

Last week Leigh (@stylecanteen) and I stepped out for Vogue Fashion’s Night Out. There were so many things to do, it literally made my head hurt. I made a list of faves, places that I definitely wanted to hit that night.

First stop was Bond St, for a Chanel manicure! I was so excited to get my nails done in the new Khaki vernis, alas the queue was too long, so I headed off to Nicole Farhi for a crepe.

Crepe done we hopped, skipped, and jumped across the road for the Louis Vuitton event where Alice Dellal was DJing. We queued up to get our photo taken in the LV photo booth with our handmade accessories made from Vogue covers.

Down the street One Night Only were playing in Burberry, the lead singer wore the black shearling jacket. I’m sure that jacket is just like a pair of Ray-Ban sunnies, anyone that puts it on is instantly HOT. Leigh couldn’t help but try one on too, she is desperate to get one for herself.

Vivienne Westwood and Moschino were CUTE, I so want one of these bags to sleep in!

One of my last stops was Furla, where I had an Oz Bella cocktail made with berries and Isolobella Sambuca. I was given a liquorish straw to drink it with, it was delish! The event coincided with the new Wizard of Oz collection by Furla.

A perfect end to a great night. Can’t wait for the next one!
